About the Role
We are seeking two clinical, forensic, or counselling psychologists to join our team at AWP Secure Inpatient Services. The successful candidates will have an interest in working with individuals who present a significant risk to others, and will be able to provide direct clinical work, consultation, teaching, and staff support.
Main Duties
The roles will involve providing specialist assessments, developing complex formulations, and designing and delivering individualized therapeutic interventions. The successful post-holders will also be responsible for facilitating therapeutic groups and engaging in complex systemic work. There will be opportunities to engage in service development projects and to work collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Person Specification
We are looking for individuals with a Doctorate in clinical, counselling, or forensic psychology, and who are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Essential experience includes working with complex mental health problems and an interest in working in a forensic setting. The successful candidates will also need to demonstrate good communication and team working skills, as well as evidence of resilience and self-awareness.
