About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Liaison Psychiatry service based in Exeter. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health care to individuals in the general hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized recovery plans for patients.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and support.
  • Develop and implement effective interventions to promote patient recovery and well-being.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Extensive post-registration experience in mental health care, ideally in both inpatient and community settings.
  • Experience of leading on completion of biopsychosocial assessments with people with mental health needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to manage risk decision-making.
  • Computer literacy and ability to produce reports.
