Senior Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Liaison Psychiatry service based in Exeter. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in contributing to the mental health care of people in the general hospital.
As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for making specialist mental health assessments, devising interventions, and developing individual recovery plans for people with mental health needs. You will work closely with colleagues, patients, and their families to provide high-quality care and support.
We are looking for someone with extensive post-registration experience working in mental health care, ideally in both inpatient and community settings. You should have a strong understanding of Local Mental Health Care Pathways, the Mental Health Act, and the Mental Health Capacity Act.
As a dynamic and motivated individual, you will be able to lead on completion of biopsychosocial assessments, clinically supervise junior and unqualified staff, and mentor students. You will also have excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health problems.
