As we expand our operations, we are investing in advanced systems to enhance our capabilities. We are seeking an IT Application Specialist, a vital position responsible for the development and maintenance of our strategic systems utilizing Salesforce and Veeva platforms.

Main Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing comprehensive solutions on the Salesforce platform and other CRM technologies.
  • Developing and implementing tailored solutions in Salesforce, including custom objects, fields, workflows, and Apex code to meet business needs.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to define effective solutions.
  • Collecting and analyzing data to support evaluations and recommendations.
  • Identifying Salesforce technical solutions and ecosystem products that fulfill requirements.
  • Creating solution architecture documents and artifacts in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Integrating Salesforce with various systems and applications to ensure smooth data flow and consistent processes.
  • Configuring and maintaining Salesforce settings, including security, user permissions, data sharing, and automation using tools like Process Builder and Flow.
  • Utilizing Salesforce Lightning to develop user-friendly and visually appealing applications and interfaces.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues within the Salesforce environment.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation of configurations, customizations, and code modifications.
  • Contributing to the enhancement of overall development processes and methodologies followed by the Development team.
  • Staying updated on Salesforce best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies, and recommending opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Expertise in implementing Salesforce industry best practices.
  • Responsibilities as the Salesforce System owner, including validation, documentation, and end-user training.
  • Experience in maintaining and administering existing Salesforce applications.
  • Engagement with IT and vendors both on-site and remotely as necessary.
  • Being the primary contact for all internal and external Salesforce project issues.
  • A deep understanding of Salesforce products, including Sales, Service, Experience, Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Pardot.
  • Acting as an in-house subject matter expert for Salesforce Lightning, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Community Cloud, Process Builder, and Flow.
  • Collaboration across departments to ensure the achievement of business and project objectives.
  • Providing IT helpdesk support for tickets related to supported applications.
  • Identifying and driving efficiencies through software and systems across the organization.
  • Offering on-site and off-site IT support as required.
  • Supporting IT projects in collaboration with the business and IT Project Manager.
