About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive environment for people affected by dementia to enjoy a fun and engaging activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and engaging with people with dementia, helping them to feel at ease and included in the activity.
  • Providing encouragement and support to participants to participate in the singing session.
  • Assisting the session facilitator with the activities, either online or in person.

Requirements:

  • Able to develop meaningful relationships and make a positive impact on people's lives.
  • Enthusiastic and fun, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to display compassion and empathy.
  • Ability to navigate online platforms and use Zoom with confidence (for virtual sessions).

What You'll Gain:

Minimum Age 16

This group currently meets on Thursdays, and we are looking for regular volunteers for our groups in Abergavenny and Monmouth.
