Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the scheduling and coordination of third-party transport providers, ensuring accurate data collection and monitoring of trailer security and temperature controls.
  • Collaborate with loading teams to effectively allocate loading bays for incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Oversee yard operations, ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols for all vehicles and personnel on site.
  • Conduct briefings and debriefings for company drivers, while tracking their working hours and data entry.
  • Plan and supervise vehicle deliveries in alignment with client specifications.
  • Control operational costs in accordance with established KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with HGV vehicle regulations to maintain safety, legality, and operational efficiency.
  • Act as a deputy for the Traffic Manager when required.

Additional Duties:

  • Input data into spreadsheets and internal management systems.
  • Manage driver eligibility, tachograph analysis, and compliance documentation.
  • Conduct regular internal audits on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Handle vehicle defect reporting, documentation, and necessary follow-up actions.
  • Maintain records for vehicle inspections, servicing, and testing.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Positive attitude towards engaging with drivers and clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
