Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic - Workforce Staffing Ltd
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Workshop Mechanic to become a vital part of our team.
The selected individual will be instrumental in the upkeep and repair of our extensive fleet of heavy goods vehicles.
Compensation:
Hourly wage: £19.28
Overtime compensation applies after 47.5 hours per week, with enhanced rates for weekend work.
Shift Schedule:
- Work days: Thursday - Monday or Friday - Tuesday
Working Hours:
- 07:00 - 17:00 (10 hours per day)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and maintenance of the HGV fleet to comply with legal and company regulations
- Prepare vehicles for MOT Testing
- Document vehicle defects and maintenance activities
- Repair minor damages from accidents
- Diagnose mechanical faults
- Deliver outstanding customer service
- Utilize various types of equipment effectively
Essential Requirements:
- Prior experience in a comparable position
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
- Strong time management abilities
- Positive attitude and self-motivated approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Clean driving record
Qualifications:
- Commercial HGV experience is essential
- Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance and management
