Role Description

We are thrilled to offer a unique chance to kickstart your career with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) as an Apprentice HGV Mechanic/MOT Tester, also referred to as a Vehicle Standards Assessor. • Participating in mandatory overnight college training sessions in the West Midlands, which will occur periodically throughout the year to work towards a qualification in heavy goods vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Shadowing a mentor, a qualified Vehicle Standards Assessor, at third-party testing facilities, dedicating one day each week to learn about the various processes and protocols involved in vehicle testing. This will transition into your full-time role upon completion of the apprenticeship.

We recommend that you carefully consider your preferred network. If you decline an offer for a selected network, you will be removed from any associated candidate lists.

While we may offer positions in networks not explicitly chosen by you, this will be based on your merit ranking, and you will not be removed from consideration if you choose to decline.
