Job Summary: We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our team at Digital Waffle. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for developing and improving our Practice Management Systems, building browser-based web solutions, and ensuring the security and robustness of our systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve our Practice Management Systems to meet the changing needs of the business.
  • Build browser-based web solutions that drive efficiency and automation.
  • Ensure industry standards and best practices are applied across development and database environments.
  • Produce and maintain documentation contributing to the wider development infrastructure.
  • Produce estimates for development work and balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Integrate with third-party providers by consuming APIs and building API wrappers.
  • Maintain databases and objects, handle common database procedures, and profile server resource usage.
  • Maintain interfaces with other systems and collaborate within a cross-functional team.

Requirements:

  • .NET framework /.NET Core (C#)
  • ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Functions
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Expert-level T-SQL skills
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, readable, and well-documented code
  • Proven experience of creating and implementing effective testing plans
  • Experience of using code repositories
  • Ability to prioritize high volumes of responsibilities without delays in deliverables
  • Capable of troubleshooting common database issues and debugging stored procedures
  • Skilled at optimizing large, complicated SQL statements
  • Familiar with tools that aid with profiling server resource usage and optimization
  • Sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on company success
  • Previous experience of helping to deliver projects accurately and on time
  • Critical thinker and strong problem-solving skills
  • A proven team player, who can support others and adapt to changing and conflicting priorities
  • A confident and effective communicator who is proactive, self-motivated with a can-do attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to expand skill set to overcome existing challenges
