Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team at Change-it Professional Services Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting the UK and International Financial Accounting Managers with month-end tasks, including preparation and reconciliation of intercompany transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting: Support the month-end process performing balance sheet reconciliations and input into the preparation of the monthly Group balance sheet, cash flow statement, and income statement.
  2. Financial Analysis: Challenge and review journals posted by the wider finance team ensuring all are accurate and appropriate.
  3. Process Improvement: Continuous improvement, implementation, and documentation of financial controls and processes to ensure the accurate reporting of the Group's financial performance and position.
  4. Team Support: Coaching of Assistant Financial Accountants, including review of month-end tasks and journals.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cross training and sharing of best practices both within Financial Control and with the wider finance team.
  6. Audit Support: Support the audit process with accurate and timely preparation of reconciliations to support the financial position of the group and its subsidiaries and timely responses to audit queries.
  7. Project Support: Support on other group-wide projects, such as disposals, acquisitions, and transformational projects.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA), preferably with experience auditing large companies.
  2. Skills: Ability to understand complex accounting matters and identify change and improvements in current processes.
