We are seeking a qualified Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Specialist who will be primarily responsible for the effective execution and management of the MOD JSP375 Safety Regulations and Protocols.
Reporting to the Area Manager, your primary focus will be on sites within the Midlands region, although occasional travel throughout the Midlands and South of England may be necessary based on business needs.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for professional growth, as our client is committed to investing in your development and will facilitate your acquisition of the necessary Authorised Person Certifications, which may lead to further salary enhancements.
Key Responsibilities• Assume accountability for the effective execution and management of JSP375
• Ensure timely completion of Additional Works, planned maintenance, and responsive maintenance, aiming to minimize corrective actions and resolve existing issues within agreed timelines
• Assist with project initiatives as directed by management
• Collaborate with the Billable Works team to guarantee that all tasks meet the required standards
• Evaluate the competence of Skilled Personnel and assign them to appropriate tasks
• Regularly review experience and performance
• Generate high-quality Risk Assessments and Method Statements
• Issue safety programs and Permits to Work, and conduct Plant Room Inspections
• Provide professional and technical support to the site operations team, helpdesk, Supply Chain, DIO, and end users
• Document all tasks against the relevant assets in the CAFM system
• Ensure all job-related documentation is completed, recorded, and distributed promptly
• Maintain close communication with Senior Engineers and take ownership of personal training plans and knowledge acquisition
• Contribute to the development and production of maintenance schedules in accordance with SFG20
• Forward Additional Services Plans and Statements of Need across the Service Delivery Area
Qualifications and Skills
• Experienced and suitably qualified Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
• QCF Level 3 or 4 in Electrical or Mechanical (Boilers & Pressure Systems) or HVAC or Mechanical Building Services
This position will involve planning, directing, and overseeing activities, so experience in supervising site operations and managing personnel in relevant disciplines is essential.
• You should possess the ability to work independently to resolve issues and make informed decisions.As this role necessitates travel, it is crucial that you hold a valid UK driving license and are prepared to travel to various sites as required.
