Senior Procurement Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our team at Michael Page Procurement & Supply Chain. As a Senior Buyer, you will play a key role in driving procurement excellence and delivering cost savings across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the company's procurement processes are world-class and aligned with business objectives.
- Supplier Management: Manage a portfolio of suppliers, including tracking performance, negotiating contracts, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Category Management: Lead the management of specific categories, including packaging and ingredients, to ensure optimal pricing and quality.
- Cost Reduction: Identify and deliver cost reduction initiatives across the organization, working closely with the Head of Procurement and site teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including the Head of Procurement, Head of Packaging Technology, and suppliers.
- Project Management: Manage projects to deliver cost savings and sustainability initiatives, working closely with site Procurement and Operational teams.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments, ideally in FMCG and food industries.
- Procurement Expertise: Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and tools, with experience of strategic procurement and global supplier management.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to translate procurement insights into business value.
