Speech and Language Therapist

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team on a bank contract, providing flexible and part-time/full-time opportunities to work with learners with learning disabilities and other needs.
The successful candidate will work autonomously with learners, college staff, and the LD Community team to provide communication and swallowing interventions within a modern and purpose-built college setting.
Main Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and develop intervention approaches for learners with communication and eating/drinking needs.
- Manage complex clinical issues and caseloads effectively.
- Empower carers to facilitate communication skills in adults with learning disabilities.
- Provide advice on supporting adults with learning disabilities and communication/eating/drinking needs.
- Advise on promoting positive communication environments to meet needs.
- Refer learners to other services/agencies as necessary.
- Ensure quality, safety, and risk reduction in service delivery through evidence-based practice.
- Produce written reports on learner needs, summarizing proposed intervention plans and future recommendations.
