Audit Manager

We're seeking a highly skilled Audit Manager to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our audit team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality audit services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coach junior members of staff to ensure they meet the required standards of quality and professionalism.
- Review and assess systems and control environments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments and substantive testing on key risk areas, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting to stakeholders.
- Develop and implement audit strategies that meet the needs of our clients and align with our firm's values.
- Collaborate with senior managers, directors, and partners to ensure seamless communication and delivery of audit services.
- ACA/ACCA/ICAS qualification or overseas equivalent.
- Proven experience in supervising and coaching junior staff, with a strong track record of developing talent.
- Working knowledge of ISAs, IFRS, UK GAAP, and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience reviewing systems and control environments, with a focus on identifying areas for improvement.
- Demonstrable knowledge of current economic and market trends.
- Sector experience relevant to BDO's audited entities.
- Experience auditing international groups and coordinating cross-border engagements.
- Experience designing audit strategies that combine substantive and controls-based approaches.
- Experience conducting group audits under ISA 600.
