Audit Manager Role at BDO UK

We're BDO UK, a leading accountancy and business advisory firm. Our Audit teams play a vital role in verifying the accuracy of our clients' financial statements, ensuring the stability and authenticity of the financial market.

As an Audit Manager, you'll be responsible for managing, supervising, and coaching junior members of staff to develop their knowledge and understanding. You'll also be expected to challenge Management, including managing difficult conversations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise audit teams to deliver high-quality audits
  • Develop and implement audit strategies based on substantive auditing
  • Review systems, processes, and control environments to identify risk
  • Manage complex projects and teams with multiple milestones and deliverables
  • Experience with financial statements reviews and ISAs, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements

Desirable Skills:

  • Sector experience in BDO audited entities
  • Experience auditing international groups and coordinating cross-border engagements
  • Experience designing audit strategies that rely on controls and IT environments
