Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional who excels in collaborative environments, fostering robust local networks throughout the system. This role involves effective communication with various agencies and partners engaged with children in the community. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual capable of designing and implementing a responsive SEND service.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will become part of a skilled team, serving as a SEND advocate in collaboration with health visitors, school nurses, therapy professionals, acute care services, and children's centers. Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating and enhancing pathways that promote positive health outcomes for children and their families.
  • Engaging with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive service delivery.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse (children's or adult).
  • Registered Health Visitor or equivalent relevant experience in working with children and families, managing a community caseload.
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing post-registration education and training.

Desirable:

  • Current nurse prescribing qualification.
  • Practice teacher certification.
  • Experience as a school nurse.
  • Therapeutic qualifications or relevant experience.
