As the Net Zero Programme Engagement Lead, you will spearhead the Engagement Management Office (EMO) and cultivate robust and impactful relationships with key stakeholders throughout London. Your role will involve identifying strategic opportunities to unite these stakeholders in their decarbonisation initiatives, facilitating communities of practice, workshops, and innovation networks, and driving the development of collaborative projects.

Your responsibilities will include orchestrating a dynamic and ongoing series of stakeholder activities that enable organisations to engage with and benefit from services designed to actualise significant projects.

The Team

Energy Saving Trust plays a vital role in the Greater London Authority's Zero Carbon Accelerator (ZCA), which provides extensive support to assist public sector organisations in minimizing their carbon emissions and achieving London's goal of becoming a zero-carbon city by 2030.

As the lead for the Engagement Management Office (EMO) for the ZCA, Energy Saving Trust oversees stakeholder engagement, marketing, and communication efforts.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture effective, long-term relationships with programme stakeholders and prospective clients.
  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies and activities aligned with programme timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with senior management, workstream leaders, and key delivery partners to create engagement, communication, and partnership strategies.
  • Participate in and/or present at industry events, showcasing our expertise and offerings as part of programme execution.
  • Work alongside programme managers to establish KPIs, monitor, assess, and report on the success of our communication initiatives.

Your Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to forge relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong programme management capabilities, including budget oversight.
  • Solid understanding of the energy and net zero sectors.
  • Experience in translating complex information into engaging communications for stakeholders.
  • Self-driven, capable of working independently, taking initiative, and thriving in ambiguous situations.
  • Commitment to addressing the climate emergency and energy inequality.
