Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Net Zero Property Specialist to join our Property Support team at the Methodist Church. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our strategic target of making all our church property net zero by 2030.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and support to Trustees, Ministers, and Connexional colleagues on net zero property matters.
  • Work closely with the Director of Environmental Engagement and Action for Hope Implementation Officer to develop and implement strategies for achieving net zero property.
  • Develop and deliver training and guidance for District Property Officers and the wider Methodist Church on net zero property best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination on net zero property initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to net zero property.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in environmental, climate, or property management, preferably in a similar context.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively.
  • Knowledge of net zero property principles and practices, with a strong understanding of the Methodist Church's Action for Hope strategy.
