About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Events to join our team at Mecca Bingo. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional events across our 50+ locations in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and own the events plan for the year, ensuring a broad spectrum of regular events activity across our venues.
  • Build a strong portfolio of 3rd party events providers who work with us to deliver the highest quality events possible.
  • Responsible for negotiation of terms, contracts and tours with 3rd party agencies, as well as prospecting for new and upcoming talent.
  • Owning the relationship between support office and our Operational Regional Managers, General Managers and Assistant Managers, to ensure the best collaboration.
  • Working with the wider Marketing team to maximise event revenue; to deliver budgeted profit for Mecca Events.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event & production sector, preferably with a focus on supporting third-party events.
  • Strong understanding of Sales and Marketing to effectively promote tours and events.
  • Strong Leadership, organisational and planning skills with the ability to set and prioritise goals and lead your Team to deliver the events strategy.
  • Strong commercial acumen, able to produce senior stakeholder reporting and projections in conjunction with the finance teams.
