About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Entertainment and Events at Mecca Bingo. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional events across our 50+ locations in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Execution: Create and own the events plan for the year, ensuring a broad spectrum of regular events activity across our 50+ venues.
  • Third-Party Partnerships: Build a strong portfolio of 3rd party events providers who work with us to deliver the highest quality events possible, ensuring we stay up to date with current trends to ensure we maximise every event opportunity.
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Responsible for negotiation of terms, contracts and tours with 3rd party agencies, as well as prospecting for new and upcoming talent.
  • Team Collaboration: Own the relationship between support office and our Operational Regional Managers, General Managers and Assistant Managers, to ensure the best collaboration.
  • Marketing and Revenue Growth: Work with the wider Marketing team (including Acquisition, PR & Social, Brand, Digital and CRM) to maximise event revenue; to deliver budgeted profit for Mecca Events. This includes signing off marketing collateral produced.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure the customer journeys for all marketing activity, sales, promotion and the execution of events meet the standards required for the business.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in event & production sector, preferably with a focus on supporting third-party events.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of Sales and Marketing to effectively promote tours and events.
  • Leadership and Organisation: Strong Leadership, organisational and planning skills with the ability to set and prioritise goals and lead your Team to deliver the events strategy.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial acumen, able to produce senior stakeholder reporting and projections in conjunction with the finance teams.
  • Customer Focus: Passionate about delivering new customer experiences with a focus on customer satisfaction, committed to providing an unrivalled customer experience.
  • Team Player: Strong team player who inspires excitement and fosters an environment of achievement.
  • Collaboration: Willingness to collaborate with others to develop new ideas and concepts.
