About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people. As a Participation Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating participation activities, implementing and managing the Mind of My Own app, and supporting the active involvement of children in care and care leavers in the corporate parenting committee.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement participation strategies to enhance engagement with children in care.
  2. Manage the Mind of My Own app to facilitate meaningful interactions with children and young people.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the active involvement of children in care and care leavers in service development and improvement.
  4. Provide clear and concise feedback to children in care on the outcomes of consultations and participation activities.
  5. Advocate on behalf of children and young people to ensure their voices are central to service improvement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Experience in a social care/childcare setting, with a focus on direct work with children and young people.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in IT systems and ability to produce high-quality work within tight deadlines.
