Job Title: Child Care Officer

About the Role:

Hatched Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Child Care Officer to join our team in the Liverpool area. As a Child Care Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting and advocating on behalf of children and young people to ensure they have a voice in Children's Service and can influence service development and improvement.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. To oversee and coordinate participation activities within the service, ensuring the effective involvement and influence of children in care and care leavers.
  2. To implement and coordinate the use of Mind of My Own within the service, providing meaningful feedback to children in care on the outcomes of consultations and other activities.
  3. To support the corporate parenting committee, ensuring the effective involvement and influence of children in care and care leavers.

Requirements:

  1. Educated to Degree level or equivalent, with a recognised relevant professional qualification (e.g. Youth Work and/or Social Work).
  2. Experience of working within a social care/childcare setting, with direct work experience with children and young people.

This is a 6-month initial placement, with a hybrid working pattern that includes on-site working at least 2 days per week. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in IT systems, confident in communication, and able to produce high-quality work within pressurised timescales. They will have excellent organisation and time management skills, and be able to use their own initiative working autonomously.
