Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic MRI Radiographer to join our dynamic Imaging Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wishes to enhance their skills in a busy department. The successful candidate will be a good communicator and team player, capable of working under pressure. Ideally, you will have at least 2 years of experience in MRI and be looking to further develop your MR imaging skills.

Main Duties of the Job

The post-holder will participate in the effective running of the MRI service under the direction of senior staff, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care. This will involve ensuring the MRI service is maintained with training of staff to perform in accordance with Trust policies, including comprehensive competency assessments. In liaison with senior radiographers, the post-holder will provide supervision of junior staff, students, and assistant practitioners.

We are a large and diverse organisation, serving over 1,000,000 people across two main sites. Our Imaging Department is one of the busiest in London, with seven CT scanners and a large ultrasound department. We have a dedicated Interventional Theatre Suite and seven MRI scanners across BHRUT. Our organisation is committed to delivering high-quality care and improving patient outcomes.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, College of Radiographers Diploma, or equivalent. They will be current HCPC registered and have proven post-qualification experience in MRI. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure. Previous experience working on this level is desirable.
