We are seeking a highly skilled In-House Legal Manager to join our team at ZEN, a rapidly growing international organization. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a crucial role in advising on a range of commercial, consumer protection, and data privacy issues related to our global payment projects and services.

Responsibilities:
  • Advise on commercial, consumer protection, KYC, risk assessment/compliance, and data privacy matters related to our global payment businesses;
  • Structure, draft, and negotiate agreements with our partners;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on product development and commercialization of global payment projects and services;
  • Work closely with colleagues across the global legal team to advise on general issues related to project launches;
  • Help build scalable and effective processes for legal review and launch of new features and products;
  • Participate as a proactive business partner for senior managers and build a trusted advisor relationship;
  • Monitor and keep up-to-date with legislative changes and relevant case law, providing practical advice to colleagues and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the UK (in-house or top law firm), preferably with 2+ years in fintech or financial institutions;
  • Familiar with UK legislation and EU differences;
  • Familiar with electronic financial services and payments-related matters, including money service business compliance requirements;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter, and ability to navigate ambiguity;
  • Passion for technology and understanding complex business models and product use cases;
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Independent, hard-working, well-organized, and able to prioritize and manage numerous projects simultaneously.
