Doncaster, Doncaster, United Kingdom The Growth Company Full time

The Growth Company is seeking a dedicated Custodial Support Facilitator to join our innovative Creating Future Opportunities (CFO) Evolution Programme.

In this dual-role position, you will be trained as both a Support Worker and Activity Facilitator, overseeing the CFO Evolution programme. Your primary responsibility will be to provide essential advice, guidance, coaching, and mentoring to a diverse caseload of participants through regular individual meetings and group sessions.

Your role will involve assisting participants in custody as they prepare for reintegration into their communities, offering practical support, advice, and motivation to ensure a successful transition.

We are committed to making a significant impact on the lives of individuals across the North of England and beyond by helping them secure meaningful employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage and manage eligible participants within the CFO Evolution programme, delivering ongoing resettlement support.
  • Conduct initial and continuous assessments of support needs.
  • Develop tailored Action Plans, designing appropriate activities and training interventions.
  • Provide advocacy, mentoring, and guidance that aligns with the unique needs of each participant.
  • Facilitate engaging one-on-one and group sessions.
  • Monitor and evaluate participants' progress throughout the programme.
  • Build strong partnerships with relevant agencies and support services.
  • Assist in establishing connections with new participants, highlighting the benefits of the CFO Evolution programme.
  • Contribute to holistic support by collaborating with the CFO Activity Hub for effective transitions.

About You:

Experience working with offenders or marginalized individuals in training, guidance, or counseling settings is preferred. You should possess strong guidance skills, capable of delivering high-quality one-on-one and group sessions.

A warm and empathetic approach is essential, enabling you to build rapport and foster relationships that encourage participants' progression towards education, training, and employment while promoting desistance from crime.

Required Skills:

  • Qualifications in Information Advice and Guidance and/or teaching (or equivalent) are desirable, but hands-on experience in supporting individuals' progression is paramount.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation issues and desistance theory.
  • Familiarity with National Probation Services or HM Prison environments, as well as local and national training and employment opportunities.

We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all individuals, including vulnerable adults and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment.

As part of our recruitment process, we ensure compliance with Safer Recruitment Procedures, including necessary background checks.

We are committed to enhancing workforce diversity and provide guaranteed interviews to applicants who meet essential criteria, particularly those from diverse ethnic communities or with disabilities.

We support the national campaign 'Ban the Box,' which aims to create job opportunities for individuals with convictions by removing conviction questions from the application process.

Flexible Working: We promote a culture of flexibility and agile working, encouraging discussions about your working arrangements during the interview stage.

All employees are expected to adhere to the Health & Safety at Work Act and the company's Health & Safety Policy.
