About the Role

The Growth Company's Justice Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Support Worker in Custody (Activity Facilitator). This exciting opportunity is part of our Creating Future Opportunities (CFO) Evolution Programme, which aims to support individuals in custody to prepare for release and successfully resettle into their local communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage and case-manage eligible participants on the CFO Evolution programme, providing ongoing resettlement support and guidance.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of support needs, creating personalized Action Plans to address individual requirements.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality, engaging one-to-one and group sessions, focusing on education, training, and employment opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with HMPPS/agencies offering support, ensuring seamless transitions and effective wrap-around services.
  • Collaborate with the local CFO Activity Hub to plan and facilitate effective Through the Gate and warm handover to the relevant Support Worker in Community.
Requirements
  • Experience working with offenders, or those disaffected and marginalized from mainstream services, in training, guidance, advice, and counseling environments is highly desirable.
  • A warm, approachable, and empathetic style, with the ability to establish rapport and build relationships with participants to support their progression to education, training, and employment.
  • Information, Advice, and Guidance and/or teaching qualifications (or equivalent) are desired, but experience working intensively with individuals and supporting their progression is most important.
