Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities

As a Health Visitor, you will be responsible for preventing ill health and promoting positive holistic healthcare for an identified population and community. You will work closely with families and other healthcare professionals to identify and address health needs, and provide an evidence-based service to children, people, families, and communities in accordance with National and Local Policy initiatives.

Person Specification
  • First-level registered nurse/midwife
  • Specialist practitioner (Hons, B. Sc. Hons, Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing or equivalent)
  • Must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle to meet the service needs
Desirable Criteria
  • Nurse prescriber
  • Recognised teaching qualification
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years Post Registration experience
Desirable Criteria
  • Evidence of participating on a service development change
