Job Title: Kitchen Porter Team Leader

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Kitchen Porter Team Leader at an established College in Oxford City Centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team of Kitchen Porters in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and catering areas. This will involve daily and scheduled cleaning tasks, as well as supervising and monitoring the team's work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the Kitchen Porters team to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and organization of the kitchen and catering areas.
  • Operate the dishwasher and ensure that all kitchen equipment and crockery are cleaned and maintained.
  • Ensure that all waste and recyclable materials are handled correctly and stored properly.
  • Assist with the ordering and storage of PPE and COSHH products.
  • Report any maintenance or pest issues to the Head Chef or Front of House Manager.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the team and management.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor.
