We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Kitchen Porter Team Leader. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading a small team of Kitchen Porters in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and catering areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Organize and supervise the Kitchen Porters team to ensure that all cleaning schedules and daily tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Operate the dishwasher and maintain the cleanliness of crockery and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure that the kitchen and other catering areas are kept clean and that procedures are maintained to ensure high standards are met.
- Follow all Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, and College policies to ensure compliance.
- Provide training and induction arrangements for new staff.
- Motivate and assess team performance.
- Ensure that all waste and recyclable materials are handled correctly and in line with instructions to minimize the risk of infestation.
- Coordinate the collection and delivery of laundry.
- Work in all areas of the kitchen as required, including helping with food preparation and plating up during service times.
- Good time management and organization skills.
- Experience in a similar position in a professional kitchen.
- Demonstrate a flexible and reliable approach to work and be willing to do overtime when required.
