Kitchen Porter

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team at the Holiday Inn Oxford hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.
- Assist the chefs with food preparation, including washing and cleaning dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
- Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy, including sweeping and mopping floors, and removing trash and recycling.
- Assist with basic food preparation, such as peeling and chopping vegetables.
- Receive and store deliveries of food and supplies, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Help set up and close down the kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation.
- Assist in the cleaning of cooking equipment and work surfaces.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Report any maintenance or health and safety issues to the relevant person.

Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- The ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings.
