Job Title: SACT Trained Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SACT Trained Staff Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust in Worthing Hospital.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients with cancer. As a SACT Trained Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering safe and effective nursing care and treatment to patients receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy, medical and supportive treatments, or undergoing medical investigations on the Amberley Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with cancer, including administration of intravenous medication, cannulation, and venepuncture.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Provide pre-SACT patient information sessions and handle telephone triage.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Experience in haematology/oncology nursing.
  • Recognised SACT administration training qualification.
  • Ability to empathise, support, and provide reassurance in difficult situations.
