Are you ready to embrace a new opportunity in Finance? De La Rue is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to enhance our Finance Team.

This role is integral to our dynamic Finance department, based at our operational site. It offers a unique chance to be part of a prestigious British manufacturer and a global leader in Banknotes and Authentication solutions, continuing to thrive amidst global challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Your primary focus will be to deliver precise financial insights that support the decision-making processes of the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team, as well as the Divisional Finance team. This includes:

  • Developing budgets and forecasts by product, incorporating volumes, manufacturing standards, factory variances, fixed costs, and capital expenditures/inventory. Continuously challenging the site to enhance performance and minimize costs.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts, analyzing and clarifying variances against budget/forecast.
  • Conducting foreign exchange, cash flow, and capital expenditure forecasting.
  • Reconciling revenue, cost of goods sold, and inventory within the financial system and MRP, ensuring timely resolution of variances.
  • Compiling monthly accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
  • Providing timely closed job analysis information to Divisional Finance teams.
  • Adhering to governance and operational disciplines applicable across the group.
  • Monitoring and adjusting internal financial control procedures as business processes evolve.
  • Assisting with external and internal financial audits.
  • Supporting the Finance Leadership Team and site management in executing the Company and Site strategy.
  • Offering subject matter expertise to facilitate effective decision-making and contributing to the annual strategic planning cycle.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Professional finance qualification.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Experience in accounting within a manufacturing or factory setting.
  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems.
  • Strong background in cost accounting and management accounts.

Work Arrangement:

This position requires on-site presence four days a week, with one day available for remote work. Flexibility is possible, so please indicate any relevant information in your application.
