Are you ready to take on a new challenge in the finance sector? De La Rue is seeking a dedicated Management Accountant to enhance our Finance Team.
This role is integral to our dynamic Finance department, located at our Westhoughton facility. As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a renowned British manufacturer and a global leader in Banknotes and Authentication solutions, successfully navigating a challenging growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver precise financial data to support the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team, along with the Divisional Finance team, through effective management of periodic reporting, forecasting, and budgeting in accordance with Group standards.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts by product, encompassing volumes, manufacturing standards, factory variances, fixed costs, and capital expenditures/inventory, while challenging the site to enhance performance and minimize costs.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, providing analysis and explanations for variances against budget/forecast.
- Conduct foreign exchange, cash flow, and capital expenditure forecasting.
- Reconcile revenue, cost of goods sold, and inventory within the financial system and MRP, ensuring timely resolution of variances.
- Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
- Compile closed job analysis information and deliver it to Divisional Finance teams promptly.
- Support adherence to governance and operational disciplines across the group.
- Monitor and adjust internal financial control procedures as business processes evolve.
- Assist with external and internal financial audits.
- Collaborate with the Finance Leadership Team and site COM to execute the Company and Site strategy.
- Provide expertise to facilitate effective decision-making and contribute to the annual strategic planning cycle.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Professional finance qualification.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Experience in accounting within a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong background in cost accounting and management accounts.
If you possess a manufacturing or factory accounting background but are not fully qualified, we welcome candidates looking for a step up.
Work Arrangement: This position requires onsite presence four days a week, with one day available for remote work. Flexibility is possible, so please indicate any relevant information in your application.
