You'll play a pivotal role in overseeing every aspect of AO's financial management, significantly impacting our financial success. We're seeking a seasoned finance expert who excels in delivering exceptional financial control, reporting, and insights.

As a key member of our finance team, you'll be responsible for shaping our financial operations, optimizing cash management, and elevating our management and statutory accounts. This will involve:

  • Financial Control & Reporting: You'll be responsible for owning the numbers, from KPI reporting and monthly management accounts to statutory accounts.
  • Balance Sheet Accountability: You'll maintain robust controls, ensuring our balance sheet is rock solid and aligned with accounting standards.
  • Forecasting & Analysis: You'll collaborate with internal teams to produce weekly P&L forecasts, rolling monthly forecasts, and analyze variances to keep us on track.
  • Cash Management: You'll keep our cash flow healthy by managing debtors, creditors, and working closely with the AO treasury team.
  • Tax Compliance: You'll partner with our Tax department to ensure all tax obligations, including VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax, are met without a hitch.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: You'll lead the production of annual budgets and three-year P&L & Cash forecasts in partnership with the Commercial Team.
  • Project Leadership: You'll lead the financial side of new projects and business initiatives, providing the strategic insight to guide us to success.

A Few Things About You

  • You'll be a qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent, with several years of post-qualified experience.
  • You'll be a strong communicator, able to translate numbers into a story that all our stakeholders can understand and act on.
