About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Support Secretary to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Medical Support Secretary, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our medical department, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality administrative support to medical staff, including audio typing and clerical duties.
  • Work closely with the Speciality Medical PAs to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including patient information and medical correspondence.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including English, and computer literacy to ECDL standard.
  • Proven administrative experience, with a sound typing background and excellent audio typing skills.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office and Outlook, with a strong understanding of medical terminology.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
