We are seeking an experienced nurse to join our specialist adult eating disorder inpatient service in Marlborough, Wiltshire. Our team is committed to delivering safe and innovative care, and we offer a comprehensive supervision and preceptorship programme for trained nurses.
Main Duties- Nurse in charge role on shift, ensuring the safe and effective running of the shift on an inpatient unit
- Primary and Secondary nurse role on care teams for patients, offering a key worker role and regular carer liaison
- Opportunity to participate in facilitating the therapeutic group programme
- Administering medication
- Supporting patients at snack and meal times each day
- Supporting and delivering Naso Gastric (NG) tube feeding (training provided)
- Phlebotomy (training provided)
- Supervisor role for support workers / students
- Working earlies, lates (or long day) and night shifts, on a 24 hours / 365 days inpatient service
- Liaising with professionals from community teams, other inpatient services including general hospital

All new starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process, aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
