About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Technology Risk and Cybersecurity professional to join our team at McDonald's Corporation.

The Head of Technology Risk and Cybersecurity will be responsible for leading our Technology Risk and Cybersecurity function, ensuring the protection of our technology assets and data from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Technology Risk and Cybersecurity Function: Develop and implement a comprehensive Technology Risk and Cybersecurity strategy to protect our technology assets and data.
  • Manage Cybersecurity Operations: Oversee the management of our 24/7 Cyber Ops capability, ensuring the detection and response to cyber threats.
  • Develop and Maintain Information Security Strategy: Develop and maintain a business-aligned Information Security strategy and operating model, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage Vendor Relationships: Manage our relationships with technology vendors, ensuring contractual, process, and performance improvements.
  • Lead Risk and Control Team: Develop and lead an effective, high-performance Risk and Control team, ensuring continuous improvement in staff competencies, skills, and knowledge.
  • Provide Coaching and Mentoring: Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to team members, ensuring they have strong development plans and career progression opportunities.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including GDPR, Data Protection Act, and PCI DSS.
  • Represent McDonald's: Represent McDonald's on national and international external consortium groups and boards, engaging effectively in external networks to stay close to local legislation and ensure the company is well-positioned to anticipate, meet, and respond to new Risk and Security challenges and threats.
Requirements
  • Extensive Experience: Extensive experience working in senior technology roles, with a proven track record in directing and managing innovative change and continuous improvement.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in leading, developing, and motivating a team of subject matter experts, with excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex issues in simple formats.
  • Technical Knowledge: Excellent understanding of best practice within Information Security and risk management, including standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, Cyber Essentials, and COBIT.
  • Legislative Knowledge: Excellent understanding of legislation and regulations that impact Information Security, including GDPR, Data Protection Act, and PCI DSS.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to build highly effective relationships with account executives of technology suppliers and various stakeholders, including McDonald's Franchisees.
