Job Title: Team Leader Residential

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate leader to support the smooth operation of a residential children's home in Grantham, providing high-quality care to children and young people.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining records, and implementing care plans to ensure the smooth operation of the home. They will also be responsible for providing direct care and support to children, ensuring their physical, social, and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Home Manager in daily operations and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records for each child and ensure compliance with care plans.
  • Supervise and mentor residential support workers.
  • Provide direct care and support to children, ensuring their physical, social, and emotional needs are met.
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and ensure the safety of all residents.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities.
Essential Skills:
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership qualities with a focus on mentoring others.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Requirements:
  • A good general standard of education; willingness to work towards Level 3 Diploma in Children's & Young People's Workforce or Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
  • Previous experience in childcare or residential settings (at least one year).
  • A valid manual driving license is essential for transporting young people.
  • Commitment to working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
