Role Overview

We are expanding our first line information technology and security risk team and seek a dedicated professional to enhance our risk management capabilities. This role is crucial in ensuring the operational resilience of our services.

As part of the risk team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the management of the bank's technical resilience and continuity frameworks.
  • Developing and maintaining continuity and recovery documentation.
  • Collaborating with technology teams to ensure effective resilience and recovery practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and communicate changes effectively.
  • Conduct business impact and risk assessments in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date continuity and recovery documentation.
  • Generate timely reports on the bank's resilience and recovery strategies.
  • Oversee the testing strategy, ensuring tests are conducted and lessons learned are applied.
  • Engage with Third Party Risk Management to ensure vendor resilience and continuity.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of operational resilience and disaster recovery systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

  • A thorough understanding of operational resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • A collaborative mindset to develop effective response plans in a technology-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of the operational regulatory landscape.
  • A commitment to doing the right thing for customers and colleagues.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience in financial services or business continuity management.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO and NIST.
  • Understanding of information technology systems, including cloud technologies.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and provide insightful reporting.
  • Attention to detail and strong presentation skills.
  • Flexibility in achieving team goals.
  • An innovative approach to technology and automation.
