Edinburgh, Edinburgh, United Kingdom NHS Lothian Full time

NHS Lothian is dedicated to fostering equality and diversity within our workforce while actively working to eliminate any form of unlawful discrimination. Our goal is to create a workforce that is truly representative of the communities we serve, ensuring that every employee feels valued and empowered to perform at their best.

We are committed to providing full support to candidates with disabilities, long-term health conditions, or neurodivergent individuals by implementing reasonable adjustments to our recruitment policies and practices.

As part of our ongoing commitment to employee well-being, NHS Lothian is transitioning to a reduced full-time working week of 37 hours, effective from April 2024, without any reduction in salary. This change will also apply proportionately to part-time staff. However, please be aware that some service areas may not immediately adopt this new working schedule, and you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week temporarily, for which you will be compensated until your service area adjusts its rosters or working patterns.

This position necessitates the post holder to possess a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the candidate is not currently a PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e., child and/or adult), an application must be submitted to Disclosure Scotland and must be approved before commencing employment.

The successful candidate will assume the role of a Specialist Physiotherapist, applying advanced decision-making skills and clinical judgment to meet patient health needs through comprehensive diagnosis and management of complex cases referred for gait analysis. This role involves conducting specialized gait assessments, analyzing various data sets, and generating detailed clinical and technical reports with recommendations for Medical Consultants and Specialist Allied Health Professionals.

This is a part-time position (0.5 wte).

Please note: As this position is part-time, the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
