Job Title: Weekend General Assistant Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Weekend General Assistant to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a prestigious independent school catering for day pupils and 650 boarders. As a Weekend General Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional food service to our students and staff during mealtimes. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner according to established menus and recipes. * Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas, including organizing dishes and utensils. * Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination. * Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies. * Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs. * Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards. Requirements: * Ideally, have experience working within education catering. * Have good Health & Safety knowledge. * Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer-focused. * Fun and enthusiastic. * Have excellent organization skills. * Demonstrate great attention to detail. * Be a team player and enjoy succeeding as a team. * Possess great customer service skills. * Have a flexible approach to work.
