We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Assistant to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a prestigious independent school catering for day pupils and 650 boarders. The successful candidate will work on a weekend-only basis, including evening shifts during term time.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
- Maintain the cleanliness of front-of-house areas, including organizing dishes and utensils.
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and maintain food safety.
- Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Experience working in education catering is highly desirable.
- Good health and safety knowledge is essential.
- Flexibility, a can-do attitude, and excellent customer service skills are required.
- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate a flexible approach to work.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.
