Nurse - Oncology and Haematology

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team on Ward 17, a 18-bedded Haematology Ward within the James Paget Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in Oncology and Haematology, potentially leading to training in chemotherapy administration.
The successful candidate will be a caring and dedicated Registered Nurse with an NMC registration, who can work well within a team and demonstrate individual initiative, clinical competency, and a commitment to providing excellent progressive nursing care.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- To assess the care needs of patients and implement care plans without direct supervision.
- To maintain high standards of nursing practice within the ward/department area.
- To ensure adherence to Trust, Divisional, and Ward/Department Health & Safety Policies.
- To undertake enhanced roles, following necessary training, such as administering Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (chemotherapy).
- To provide safe custody and administration of drugs, in accordance with Trust Policy.
- Registered Nurse with Acute NHS experience.
- 1 year post-registration experience.
- Intravenous Drug Administration.
- Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (chemotherapy) administration.
