We are seeking a driven marketing professional to take on the role of Marketing Lead within Economist Impact. The successful candidate will operate from our central London office and will be tasked with the strategic planning and execution of comprehensive marketing campaigns aimed at securing sponsorship and delegate revenue for our extensive events portfolio.

This is a unique opportunity to become part of an ambitious and dynamic team with aspirations to significantly increase its growth in the upcoming financial year. The ideal candidate will possess strategic thinking capabilities, adept at interpreting data to inform decisions, and will have a proven history of driving sponsorship revenue and generating leads.

Key Responsibilities

Your Contributions Will Include:

Formulating effective marketing strategies to attract sponsorship leads and new business opportunities. Collaborating with the commercial team to create marketing initiatives that generate sales leads and enhance attendee registration. Planning and executing multichannel marketing campaigns to generate and nurture leads through various channels (web, email, print, telemarketing, social media, PPC). Developing marketing materials and sales support documents. Overseeing budget management, providing precise forecasts, and contributing to the budget-setting process. Managing relationships with marketing partners, including external media outlets and industry associations. Crafting content for all marketing collateral, including emails, banner ads, print advertisements, digital ads, press releases, and social media communications, ensuring alignment with target audience messaging. Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on campaign effectiveness, establishing a continuous feedback loop to management regarding key customer behaviors and engagement trends. Collaborating with other departments, including sponsorship, programming, operations, and design, to develop shared activities, behaviors, and KPIs.

Required Experience and Skills

Demonstrated experience in marketing and lead generation, with a preference for candidates with a background in conference marketing and industry events. Proven ability to work alongside sales teams, creating and implementing joint processes and strategies to drive sponsorship revenue growth. Strong team player with excellent stakeholder management skills. Exceptional time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms. Outstanding copywriting skills in English, both written and spoken. Analytical mindset, utilizing data to inform decision-making. Creative thinker with a keen interest in staying ahead of industry trends. Self-motivated, naturally inquisitive, and possessing a strong sense of accountability. Experience with marketing and analytics systems such as Google Analytics, Eloqua, Salesforce, Cvent (or equivalents), and backend website editing tools like WordPress. Eager to explore new marketing tactics and optimize traditional channels. Commercially oriented and highly motivated to surpass targets.
