About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Civil Engineer to join our team at BakerHicks. As a key member of our Civil and Structural department, you will be responsible for leading and managing large project teams, developing infrastructure capabilities, and ensuring compliance with business quality and management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day management of C&S project teams
  • Ensure team compliance with company management system
  • Contribute to wider development of C&S department capabilities
  • Lead C&S design delivery across single projects or multiple smaller projects
  • Development of programmes and control of change
  • Tender preparation for projects of all sizes
  • Carry out technical design reviews and critiques of projects in progress
  • Mentor, train, and develop junior engineers
Requirements
  • Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer CEng MICE/MIStructE
  • Appropriate depth and breadth of experience in leading and managing teams
  • Strong technical knowledge of Civil design
  • CSCS Card
  • SC clearance (or eligible)
  • Full Clean Current UK Driving Licence
