About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal/Associate Civil Engineer to join our Manchester C&S team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading large C&S project teams, developing the infrastructure capability of our Civil and Structural department, and providing technical guidance and support to our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design of multiple projects as lead Civil Engineer
  • Support the team with problem-solving relating to design, utilizing your extensive technical knowledge
  • Build relationships across various sectors to plan for future work
  • Manage teams on a day-to-day basis
  • Contribute to the wider elements of the business area, supporting the Director
  • Undertake all aspects of infrastructure design work on a range of project sizes across various sectors
  • Act as a technical authority for Infrastructure Design across all Baker Hicks UK offices
  • Ensure project teams deliver civil and structural designs to cost, schedule, and quality criteria
Requirements
  • Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer CEng MICE/MIStructE
  • Appropriate depth and breadth of experience, including experience in leading and managing teams
  • Strong technical knowledge of Civil design
  • CSCS Card
  • SC clearance (or eligible)
  • Full Clean Current UK Driving Licence
