Principal Civil Engineer at BakerHicks

We are seeking a skilled Principal Civil Engineer to oversee significant project teams and play a vital role in the advancement of our Civil and Structural division. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects adhere to budgetary, scheduling, and quality benchmarks, while also fostering the development of team capabilities and resources. Your focus will also include compliance with quality assurance and management protocols, along with providing innovative suggestions for modifications as directed by leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of C&S project teams
  • Ensure adherence to company protocols by the team
  • Contribute to the growth of the C&S department
  • Lead the delivery of C&S designs across various projects
  • Develop programs and manage project modifications
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates
  • Evaluate technical designs of projects
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers
  • Support team members to improve performance

Candidate Profile:

  • Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer CEng MICE/ MIStructE
  • Proven experience in team leadership and management
  • Strong technical expertise in Civil design
  • Possession of a CSCS Card and SC clearance (or eligibility)
  • Valid UK Driving Licence with a clean record
