Lead Civil Engineering Specialist at BakerHicks

As part of our expanding Civil and Structural team, we are seeking a Lead Engineer to oversee significant project teams and play a pivotal role in the advancement of our Civil and Structural division. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects adhere to budget, timeline, and quality benchmarks, while also fostering the development of team capabilities and resources. Additionally, your focus will be on ensuring compliance with quality and management protocols, providing innovative insights for changes directed by leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of Civil and Structural project teams
  • Ensure adherence to company compliance standards
  • Contribute to the growth of the Civil and Structural department
  • Lead the delivery of Civil and Structural designs across various projects
  • Develop project programs and manage modifications
  • Prepare tender submissions and cost estimates
  • Evaluate technical designs for projects
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers
  • Support team members in enhancing their performance

About You:

  • Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer (CEng MICE/MIStructE)
  • Proven experience in team leadership and management
  • Strong technical expertise in Civil design
  • Possession of a CSCS Card and SC clearance (or eligibility)
  • Valid Clean UK Driving Licence
