About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Trade Chargehand to join our dynamic response repairs team in the South West region, covering Cornwall and Paignton. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Service Delivery Manager in the day-to-day running of our responsive team, helping to manage engineers, plumbers, carpenters, and electricians, ensuring targets are met and work is delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the daily management of a team and oversee repairs and refurbishment of properties, ensuring they are carried out to a high standard.
  • Inspect works completed to ensure they represent value for money, e.g., efficient use of materials.
  • Ensure H&S policies and procedures are followed on site, maintaining compliance for health and safety.
  • Order materials and liaise with suppliers for material availability.
  • Ensure works are completed to KPI targets and financial recovery for completed void works.
  • Maintain good morale for the team and encourage high levels of performance.
Requirements
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 in a core subject, NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing if plumbing is core, currently undertaking the qualification or prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group.
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role supervising staff.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and customer care skills.
  • Ability to analyse and diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Basic skills in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
