About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join our dynamic response repairs team in the South West region, covering Cornwall and Paignton. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Service Delivery Manager in the day-to-day running of our responsive team, helping to manage engineers, plumbers, carpenters, and electricians, ensuring targets are met and work is delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily management of a team and oversee repairs and refurbishment of properties, ensuring they are carried out to a high standard
  • Inspect works completed to ensure they represent value for money, e.g., efficient use of materials
  • Ensure H&S policies and procedures are followed on site, maintaining compliance for health and safety
  • Order materials, and liaise with suppliers for material availability
  • Ensure works are completed to KPI targets and financial recovery for completed void works
  • Maintain good morale for the team and encourage high levels of performance

Requirements

  • Full compliance with Building Safety legislation requires a qualified candidate with NVQ Level 2 in a core subject. NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing if plumbing is core, currently undertaking the qualification or prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role supervising staff
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and customer care skills
  • Analyzing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
  • Basic skills in the use of Microsoft office, Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
